By 2020, Chicago’s Streets for Cycling Plan will have 645-mile bikeways that allow Chicagoans to feel safe and comfortable on city streets. This program also will contribute to increased bicycle usage and fewer vehicles, helping the environment. Another program that aids residents of Chicago every year is One Summer, which offers over 31,000 employment and internship opportunities to youth and young adults ages 14 to 24.
